Comments:

I bought the Trek 7.5 FX after a friend suggested it as a replacement for my old Trek 700. The 7.5 FX is a great bike. Lightweight, with quick, smooth shifting and gearing between the traditional hybrid and a road bike. The Bontrager H2 seat is great! I tried three seats on the 700 before I found one that wasn't good but was acceptable. I have had absolutely no discomfort from this seat including after a recent 55 mile ride. I did not find any of the issues others mentioned about the brakes. I gave them quite a workout on very hilly section of a trail in Minnesota where they stopped the bike quickly with no unusual noise. My average speed is up about 2 mph. It is easy to maintain a comfortable 17 – 18 mph on the flats with two more gears to go. The 7.5 FX will never match a road bike for overall speed but it will make a respectable showing.Make sure you also purchase the spacer (Part #414162) if you opt for the SpeedTrap fork mounted sensor or the magnet will be too far away from the sensor. [...]All I can say is buy this bike!

Just purchased a Trek 7.5 FX after ordering the 7.3 first in my size and color from my local shop. My local bike dealer ended up getting wind of a 2010 model of the 7.5 and I couldn't pass up on the deal that they had for it. So the excitement that I had for the 7.3 was great but now its even better that I have a bike with all the necessary upgrades!!! These Upstate NY springs take a little longer to warmup so once it does, I cannot wait to be out on the road riding everyday!!

Just got a new car and then later this bike. I now ride my bike more than I drive. I love this bike. I retired from riding 10 years ago. So this is my starter bike and I got a beyond excellent bike. I can not wait to ride again. I have to figure out my seat situation.

I am not a avid biker, however, this bike has gotten me to enjoy the sport much more in the last two months . I am 52 and exercise 3 or 4 times a week and wanted more cardio that I could enjoy outside of the gym. I take a couple of 5 to 8 mile trips during the week (evenings) to relax and take a 12 to the longest so far 18 miles on the weekends which is not a ton but a really good ride for me now. The Trek 7.5 is the best bike I have ever owned and I have really enjoyed it even more than I thought. I have gotten more use to the seat and the more upright position works well for me. I am not a small guy at 6' 2" and 240 lbs. but this bike is fast, responds well and stops quick, shifts really smoothly, and the black bike just looks really good. I feel strongly this was a good choice for me and this bike is of such good quality that I can grow as a rider a whole lot before I would ever need more . Thanks to Bike Barn and Trek for my new enjoyment every week !

        Comments:

I just began riding my bike again this year. I decided to retire my 22 year old mountain bike for a 7.5 FX. I am very pleased with my decision. The bike is very nice. The ride is very smooth with minimal vibration. It is an extremely quiet bike as well. This is by far the nicest bike I have every owned. I weigh 250 lbs. and the bike supports me just fine. I still need to get used to the flex saddle but that will come with time. I even installed clipless SPD pedals and riding is fun again. I chose the color black. I have received many compliments on the bike. But that is just a nice side effect for a great bike. I plan to purchase the Bontrager Node 2 computer and the SpeedTrap sensor (the sensor fits inside the fork of the 7.5 FX). I have been looking at buying a new bike for the last 4 years. I always liked the 7.5 FX. Why did I wait so long? The only negative is Trek decided to change the Flex Form Saddle for the 2010 model,it no longer accommodates a saddle bag with a clip. No big deal. I can't wait to ride it again.

Purchased this 7.5 FX a few weeks ago, had been riding a Trek Navagator 2.0 and wanted to step up a level. I was not quite ready for a road racer yet and this one fits my needs. Very fast, comfortable and gets noticed where ever I go. Thanks Trek, another great product.

Upgraded from a base hybrid. Picked the 7.5FX over the 7500...and very satisfied with the choice. Much smoother and faster ride. My only negative (and what keeps it from getting a "5" are the brakes. Overall, great bicycle I will enjoy riding for years to come.

So glad I chose this bike over the Specialized Sirrus. Smooth comfortable ride, lightweight, and its FAST. The brakes could be better but its definitely not a deal breaker.
