Product Details

Avid Elixir 7 Hydraulic Disc Brake

Whether you like ripping big descents or going out for epic XC adventures, Avid's Elixir 7 Hydraulic Disc Brake is for you. Avid's Taperbore technology and Power Reserve Geometry deliver great modulation and pinpoint stops. Increased power comes courtesy of a super-stiff, 2-piece caliper that contains larger pistons and DOT 5.1 fluid for better heat dissipation and resistance to brake fade. Plus, the Elixir boasts a unique integrated reservoir and a carbon lever for major weight reduction and a sleek look, while a tool-less reach adjust lets you dial in the perfect feel. The Elixir 7 even comes complete with Avid's HS1 rotor.

Constant howling noise from rear brake while riding. Noise stops when rear brake is applied, then noise starts up again when brake handle is released, extremely irritating.
